Archive: Meditation and Yoga Books #5

Among the many books on Chaitanya's life and teachings, the "Caitanya Caritamrta" of Krsnadasa Kaviraja (1615) is likely the most popular.
Within the frame of Chaitanya's life story, it contains discourses on [bhakti] yoga sadhanas, meditation, cosmology, Vedic theology, overviews of yogic lineages (sampradayas), etcetera.

In 1999 Edward C. Dimock and Tony K. Stewart of Harvard University published an excellent English translation of this classic work, containing prefaces, notes, an overview of the text, translations of the Adi Lila, Madhya Lila, Antya Lila, followed by glossaries.
This translation of the Caitanya Caritamrta is part 56 of the Harvard Oriental Series.
